Michaela Hollis

Michaela Hollis joined the firm in 2018 and works with a variety of organizations, including provider specialty organizations and medical research societies. Michaela has experience in health care legislative and regulatory policy, with extensive knowledge in Medicare reimbursement, medical education and training programs, and biomedical research policy. Michaela actively advocates for clients’ goals to improve access to high quality care and lower health care costs, and thoroughly enjoys assisting clients in effectively addressing health care disparities and achieving health equity goals. Michaela’s legislative work focuses on analyzing authorizing legislation and appropriations bills and organizing client engagement on Capitol Hill. Michaela also leads outreach and engages with policymakers across the Department of Health and Human Services, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, National Institutes of Health, Health Resources and Services Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
Michaela was a 2017 Policy Fellow at CRD Associates, providing the firm with support on issues affecting clients in health care, education, and defense sectors. During her fellowship, Michaela assisted in analyzing and tracking legislation and planning and organizing meetings and briefings on Capitol Hill. Prior to joining CRD, Michaela was a Certified Nursing Assistant with clinical experience in hospital and outpatient settings, providing hands-on care for patients of all ages and diagnoses. With a genuine passion for advancing health equity and health promotion, Michaela has taken part in several medical mission trips providing health care services to individuals in rural, minority, and underserved communities.
In addition to working to achieve her clients’ legislative and regulatory goals, Michaela enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
